Wedding Party

Picking people to be in our wedding party was not easy. We have both been blessed with really amazing friendships. I (Tiffany) would have had 17 bridesmaids if I could have it my way. However, that wouldn't leave many people to actually enjoy the nice seats and view of the wedding.

Amanda Lang (soon to be Cheatwood) - Matron of Honor (A)
Amanda and I (Tiffany) are a little fuzzy on when we became friends. It was sometime after I had moved to Atlanta, but we have now been roommates for almost four years. Ironically, we both found ourselves homeless after our roommates both got engaged. And, now, we are both getting married and in each others weddings in July 2013. Amanda is marrying in to the Auburn legacy.

Joe Weatherly - Best Man

Joe Weatherly and I (David Carter) met on the lacrosse field. We were co-captains of the University of Tennessee Lacrosse Team. The college experiences alone produce an endless cornucopia of “Choose Your Own Adventure“ stories, yet over the years they have consistently matured. Point-in-hand, when I get a facebook message that says, “Ten years ago today, David Carter Smith and I came really close to burning Chicago to the ground,” you know there’s something special. Pictured here, at the 2009 South Carolina Inaugural Ball, is evidence of our sound participation in society. Additionally, Joe’s wife Rachel knows “Red Dave.” They are also an “All Vols” marriage, and live in Washington DC.

Avery Noel Simmons - Flowergirl & Allison Ware Simmons - Bridesmaid
Avery's mom, Allison, and I (Tiffany) have been friends since high school. We grew up in the same neighborhood, Hidden Harbor. Allison and I were roommates for a short time in Knoxville before she got married. Thank you for a staring roll in your wedding. Also, thank you Allison and Scott for sharing in our day and letting your little girl be our flower girl.

Mark Mastroianni - Groomsman & Reed Mastroianni - Ring Bearer

Mark Mastroianni and I have been spotted in Vancouver, British Columbia, Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA. We met when we lived in Vancouver, and once Mark finally passed customs, it was a one-of-a kind experience. Through daily collaboration in the dynamic trading environment, two people certainly come to know the other well. This remains true for Mark and I, and in fact have so many inside jokes and language, that any day would not be complete without the “whaaazzz-up” phone call. Mark and his wife Kelly, live in Charlotte, NC. It is an honor to have their son Reed as a ring bearer in the wedding.

Allison Marie O'Dell - Bridesmaid
Allison and I (Tiffany) have been friends since the first grade when we had Ms. Wade (soon to be known as Mrs. Cox, just not to me, despite the fact that her oldest is going to college). Allison, my first college roommate Erin, and I all lived in Hidden Harbor at addresses that started with 6415. Let's face it, it was the best neighborhood ever. Allison, Erin, Bethany, Sean, Scott and I were all members of the swimteam. Go Slackers!! Allison and I also went to the same church, with Allison Simmons, in high school. And, Allison and I were both born in Knoxville. We were just meant to be friends.

Kris Muir - Groomsman

Kris Muir and I met on the lacrosse field. Years later, Kris is the teammate with whom I have coached. My life has been enriched as a lacrosse coach, and Kris is the person who introduced me to full season coaching, which includes one of the most memorable summers of my life. We share the city of Atlanta, and he was my coach in its own accord when I first dated Tiffany.  Recently, Tiffany and I shared an incredibly enjoyable evening celebrating with Kris and his wife Cindy at their house. There is a great story with Kris and I being effectual in each other meeting our future spouses, and being there the day we met.

Andrea Winford Coffey - Matron of Honor (1) & Jackson Coffey - Ringbearer

Andrea is the first person I (Tiffany) met at Freshman orientation at Tennessee. I know that God truly put her in my path on purpose. I had been following a bunch of white short, pastel t-shirt and silver jewelry girls to the UC. Andrea sat down beside me, and we both had on some kind of outfit that could have been bought at Aeropostal and running shoes. I was very thankful. We were college roommates for three years. And, I had the pleasure of being one of her maids of honor. Andrea's son, Jackson, will be one of our ring bearers as well.

Peter Angelone - Groomsman

Peter Angelone once told me, “Things are not always as they appear.” Playing lacrosse together in college, and sharing Harford County roots often brings the word implicit to mind. Two summers ago in Baltimore, Pete arranged a feast of four dozen blue-shelled crabs. That indeed was a reunion of sorts that words bear no affinity. Pete is one of most versatile lacrosse players I have known, and serves his endeavors with rare dedication. Over the years I am grateful to be able to pick up the phone and share a mutual respect, as well as visits in Chicago, NYC, and Washington DC.

Christine Woodward Buehler - Bridesmaid
I guess you could say that I (Tiffany) met Christine through our involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ at UT. However, I believe we really met in a parking lot of a movie theater in January of freshman year when we went to see Save the Last Dance. Who knew that encounter would lead to one of my best friends and college roommates. You will see a theme here, but I was in her wedding too. One of my favorite memories with Christine is having her husband try to kill us while riding on tubes behind their wake boat on the Pick Wick. Oh, and that time Christine ran over me with my own Sea Doo.

Alayna Adams Brown - Bridesmaid
Alayna and I (Tiffany) also met that day in the parking lot when I met Christine. She was one of my roommates even if her technical address in college was never actually our address. The door was always open to Alayna. Poor Alayna agreed to do a project in our communication research class with me that led to watching the movie Shallow Hal like 14 times in one semester. Oh, and I was in her wedding too. Alayna is the only person I know that has actually taken a ride on the underground railroad. Ask her about it.

Sean Mailen - Groomsman

Sean Mailen and I met outside of the Walmart in Hixson, Tennessee. It was a cold, and blustery December evening, to those in the South. As a newlywed, Sean and his wife Lydia, accompanied by Tiffany, their parents and I, rode out of that parking lot realizing the Ford Taurus played a special role in our lives. It’s probably coming together now, that Sean knows my fiancĂ© well, having the same parents. We all rode up to Lookout Mountain, and it was truly a welcoming experience. I became thankful to be a part of their family’s Christmas. Recently Tiffany and I stayed with Sean and Lydia when we visited Minneapolis. I am thankful and blessed to have a brother in Sean, and we seem to be establishing a tradition of capturing comically awesome photo's and video.

Lydia Livingston Mailen - Bridesmaid
Lydia and I (Tiffany) share a last name. We also share a middle name, Michelle. But we disagree on how to spell it. She has one L and I have two. I bet you can guess how we met. :-) Lydia married my brother. Isn't that the best story!! I think so. Sean thinks so. :-)

David Fitch - Groomsman

Dave Fitch and I have been known as writers for The Chicago Tribune Music Column, among others. Once an aspiring foosball player, Fitch and I met at UBS when we both worked there, and attended classes at DePaul University. We soon made our stake in Lincoln Park, and Wrigleyville. One may easily discover that Fitch is originally from The Syracuse, NY area, and so we found our neighborhood in Chicago to offer the home away from home experience. Chicago is lucky we never took our rap album public. And, if there is one person to talk sports, politics, and economics with, Dave Fitch is your man

Heather Duhaime - Bridesmaid
When I (Tiffany) first moved to Atlanta, I noticed a girl at the pool wearing an orange Buckhead Church hat. I decided to take a chance and bother her. It was a good chance. We became friends, and she introduced me to her roommate, Heather. Heather and I have been going to church, the beach and wherever our legs can take us on our bikes around Atlanta since then. She represents Auburn University in my SEC group of friends. Heather is getting married on August 24. Congrats Heather and Brian!!

Kyle Peter - Groomsman

Kyle Peter has been there since the beginning. When I moved to Chicago and started a lacrosse team, Kyle was there, literally each and every practice, game, and social event. If we were scratching for players at away games or simply sharing in social life, Kyle was the guy I could count on. Because of that, the countless trips, lacrosse games, Chicago experiences, and life experiences, Kyle has remained a valuable friend. Kyle and I have a unique propensity to find the best in people, and that holds true in the plethora of characters we have certainly experienced. Pictured here, front row left, Kyle and our team, The Tribe.

Emily Zickefoose Bell - Vocals
Emily and I (Tiffany) met through mutual friends at Buckhead Church. I believe Emily may be my most photographed with friend since I moved to Atlanta, which is easy for her since she is pretty. Emily will be representing the University of Georgia. Emily will be lending her voice to our wedding service.

Melanie Bettis - Vocals

Melanie and I (Tiffany) met through Melanie's brave move to join my small group of misfits, along with Heather. Melanie has brains (She's a double Dawg with a J.D.), amazing wit, and incredible talent when it comes to vocals. Melanie will also be staring as a vocal lead in our wedding.
